Privacy
No accounts and no record of what you searched. Visits are counted with Google Analytics, which is never told the username. The rest of this page says exactly what happens to a search.

What a search sends
The username goes to each site on the list as part of a profile address, the same way your browser would ask for it. The sites see a request from our server, not from you.
Our server holds the answers in memory for up to a minute and a half, so an immediate repeat doesn’t ask every site again. Its logs record how many sites answered and how long it took, never the username.
Your address
Your IP address is held in memory to count your searches against the allowance, and dropped once the allowance has refilled, within about half an hour. It is not written anywhere.
Like any website, requests pass through our hosting and network providers on their way to us.
Analytics
Pages are counted with Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and, like any request, sees your IP address and browser. Google’s use of that is covered by its privacy policy.
It is never told what you searched. On a results page it learns only that a search happened: the username is taken out of the address and the title before anything is sent, and a click through to Seer is counted without it.
Links out
Profile pictures and banners on the result cards load from the sites that host them, without saying which page asked.
SearchUsername is run by Kyun Software LLC, which makes Seer. A link to Seer carries the username you searched, so Seer can run it for you; from there, Seer’s privacy policy applies. Write to [email protected] with any question about this page.
